This morning we received our last RSVP, one day before the cut off date, not too bad considering all the stories I've heard with people not getting responses and that sort of thing.
Toward the end of last week I had a couple hours of panic which was caused by over-inviting guests. What had happened is a few people said they would come but without a partner, so instead of waiting we were over eager to invite some singles that were on our B list. After inviting the said singles from the B list, the previous guests changed their minds and decided to include a partner. Luckily we're only three people over our original guest count of 60, so some people will just have to deal with being a bit squashed for the evening.
We would have liked to have invited more people but that would mean an extra table with extra decor costs, extra food costs and extra champagne costs, something we're just not willing or able to afford now.
